Here are the top three stories from today in Baton Rouge:
- Early Wednesday morning, an An 18-wheeler truck crashed into St. George’s Fire Protection District Headquarters. At around 4 a.m., the truck rolled over bushes into the building. No one was seriously injured in the accident and the building did not suffer major damage. As of now, there is no known cause for the crash; the case is being investigated by the Louisiana State Police. (WAFB)
- President-Mayor Sharon Weston Broome plans to announce new public health resources for East Baton Rouge Parish today, March 31. The relaunch of HealthyBR.com, a resource center for EBR residents, is expected to be announced. Mayor Broome makes his announcement at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center at 10:00 a.m. (BRProud.com)
- Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday evening, a person was shot dead on Denham St. The victim survived and his gunshot wounds were deemed not to be life-threatening. Baton Rouge police are still investigating the shooting. (BRProud.com)
