Community Health and Dental will host a health fair on August 12

NORTH COVENTRY — Community Health and Dental Care Inc. will hold a health fair on Friday, August 12, as part of National Health Centers Week.

The Community Health and Dental Show will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the healthcare provider’s Coventry Shopping Center location, 351 W. Schuylkill Road, North Coventry.

The health fair will feature health information, community resources, giveaways, activities, refreshments and free health checks for blood pressure (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), behavioral health, physiotherapy and dental care.

Participating community organizations include Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation, Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health, TriCounty Active Adult Center, YWCA TriCounty, Pottstown Library, Boyertown Area Multi-Service, Creative Health Services, Pottstown Pharmacy, and Medicine Shoppe of Boyertown.

National Health Centers Week — August 7-13 of this year — is an annual event aimed at raising awareness of the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers over the past five decades. The theme of this year’s event is “Chemistry for Strong Communities”.

Throughout the week, Community Health and Dental Care will show “how it delivers high-quality health care, improves health outcomes, and reduces health disparities,” according to a press release, and “ invites the community to celebrate the work that goes into providing accessible, high-quality health care to the Tri-County area.
