Nevada Health Link Launches Open Registration with Southern Nevada Community Health Fair

LAS VEGAS (October 21, 2022) – Uninsured or looking for new health insurance coverage for the upcoming calendar year? Nevada Health Link kicks off the 2023 Open Enrollment Period on Tuesday, Nov. 1 with a Community Health Fair in the Southern Nevada Health District from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a unique opportunity for Nevadans to meet some of the Nevadans first-hand Health Link’s on -Exchanging private health insurance funds. This is one of the only times Nevadans will be able to meet carriers at the same time and place.

Nevada residents are invited and encouraged to meet with health insurance companies that offer plans through Nevada Health Link, as well as access other health-related resources available in the community. Enrolling in one of these plans through NevadaHealthLink.com is the only way to access federal subsidies to reduce the cost of premiums.

Local organizations/health insurance companies participating in the Southern Nevada Community Health Fair include:

  • Nevada Health Link

  • Health insurance companies: Nevada Health Plan, Select Health, SilverSummit (Ambetter), Aetna, and Friday Health Plans

  • Federal Health Center (FQHC)

  • Three Square Food Bank

“Nevada Health Link is excited to kick off the 2023 open enrollment period with the community,” said Ryan High, executive director of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange. “If you are uninsured or just looking to update your coverage for the new year, I encourage you to come join us at the Southern Nevada Community Health Show on November 1 and meet some of our carriers, ask questions and get resources you may need to help you choose your plan.

The open enrollment period for plan year 2023 runs from November 1, 2022 through January 15, 2023. Those who enroll by 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2022 will receive health insurance coverage beginning on January 1, 2023; those who register between January 1 and January 15 will be covered from February 1, 2023.

The Southern Nevada Community Health Fair is an opportunity for Nevadans to learn more and find the right health plan for the upcoming plan year. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1 at the Southern Nevada Health District in the Red Rock Conference Room at 280 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89107.
