Southwestern Health Resources appoints Jim Beiermann as senior executive

After serving as CFO for the past two years, Beiermann is promoted to organization leader

DALLAS, December 20, 2021–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Southwestern Health Resources (SWHR) today announced the appointment of Jim Beiermann as Chief Executive Officer (SEO). Previously Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SWHR, Beiermann will continue to lead the organization’s work in population health management.

As SEO, Beiermann will lead SWHR’s clinically integrated network of hospitals, physicians, and other clinicians coordinating high-quality care for people and communities in North Texas. He will lead SWHR’s network performance in risk-based contracting and lead innovative data-driven population health management strategies to improve healthcare in the region.

In 2020, SWHR saved Medicare more than $38 million and earned a 97% quality score as one of the nation’s next-generation responsible care organizations, according to the Centers for Medicare. & Medicaid Services.

Beiermann has spent the past 30 years managing the cost of care and has been on all sides of the managed care spectrum – payer, provider and consumer. Prior to SWHR, he spent a third of his career at Wellpoint Anthem and held leadership roles at Conifer Health Solutions and Molina Healthcare.

Beiermann is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he received his bachelor’s degree in finance.
