Nature of the work: This Community Health Nurse II position, under the supervision of the Healthy Start Program Supervisor, will provide education and case management through home visits, face-to-face contact and phone calls to pregnant women and high-risk children up to two years of age. The Community Health Nurse will also provide outreach services to individuals, health care providers, community groups and organizations to educate them about services, resources available and to obtain Healthy Start referrals.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

- A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a registered nurse may replace the required education.
- Two years of experience as a registered nurse can replace the required training.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in maternal/child health and/or home visit preferred.
Licence: Candidates for this position must possess a current license as a registered nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
